Honest and aggressive to the core, Gojen always battled against injustice and discrimination. He tried to contribute in the freedom movement of India in his own way and in the course he started imagining of a heaven-like country that India would be after gaining its freedom from British Raj. But the terrible happenings that occurred in independent India devastated his imaginings. Subsequently Gojen has converted to be a pessimist throughout his life till the new millennium when he (the elder Gojen – played by Bishnu Kharghoria) gets a spark of optimism after seeing his granddaughter (played by Rimpi Das) enduring the battle against injustice and discrimination in modern India.
